Shannon, owner and director of Endeavor School of the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, is originally from Shawnee, Kansas. She graduated with honors from the University of Kansas with a B.A in Dance. She was one of 8 dancers selected nationwide for the prestigious Dance with the Force scholarship at Edge Performing Arts Center. She is a highly sought after choreographer and has instructed dancers around the world including Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, at The University of Arizona, Cal State Long Beach, the University of Florida, and for the Los Angeles Laker Girls. Her choreography has won a multitude of awards including nominations for the Industry Dance Awards. She choreographed for So You Think You Can Dance Australia with husband Lachlan McCarthy. Some of her television credits include Subway, Vidal Sassoon, Coors Light, Ameriquest, Pepsi, Ford, Burger King, Holiday Inn, NBC’s American Dreams, HBO’s Entourage, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Best Damn Sports Show, as well as feature films for A Cinderella Story and The Trouble with Ross. She performed alongside artists such as Beyonce, Outkast, & Tech N9ne to name a few as well as in a multitude of live shows for Carnival, Dance Excellence, Edge Showcase, E+ Productions, and award shows. She has judged on the competition circuit for Starpower, Showbiz, and Primetime. She was a Los Angeles Laker Girl for three seasons, taught at the renowned Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood for over 10 years, and continues to perform with Seamless Dance Theater and as a principal dancer in Commonality Dance Company. Shannon loves teaching and sharing her passion for dance with all of her students!
