Jorge Puerta Armenta, born in Bogotá in Colombia, began to dance at the age of 19 years. After a fellowship at the Centre national de Danse Contemporaine in Angers-France, under the artistic direction of Joëlle Bouvier and Régis Obadia he join the Folkwang Dance Studio in Essen-Germany. From 1997 till 2014, Puerta Armenta was ensemble member at the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. Since 2012, he creates his own works: The Silence fall from the trees in Bogotá, At 17 centimeters, Nothing unusual and Look in Germany.
